Today is Mother's Day.

I had a softball game this morning and on Sunday's you have play until you lose, well we lost our first game pretty bad, so we got done nice and early which was good for the girls on my team who had prom last night.

After I got home I changed and we left to go to my Grandma's house. We had a late lunch with my Mom's side of the family and when we finished eating we looked up funny commercials on youtube.

When everyone else had left my Grandma and my Mom talked about our trip to Washington D.C. this summer. They ironed out some kinks and now we are all set to go, I am so excited this will be my second time to D.C. and I hope it is as fun as the first.

I had three softball games today and I am still not allowed to do anything, so I just sit there and keep the book. Out first game was not very good, we lost pretty bad, so everyone was mad, but we knew what we had to do to pick it up and win the rest of our games.

After the first game me and two of my friends went to Runza to talk about the game and the team and what we need to work on. It was a pretty good talk and we all agreed we need a lot of work.

When we finished eating we went back to the fields to get ready for our next game. We lost again but we played a little bit better, not much. Our third game was right after out second one, and again we lost, but played our best game of the day.

Its going to be a tough season.

Friday May 8

Today was the first day in a very long time that I did not have soccer after school. As much as I loved going home right after school I would much rather be practicing for the state tournament.

Well today is Friday, and that means weekend, and that means we only have one week left of school before dead week. I am so exctited for summer, I cannot wait. I went to my brothers baseball game today, thats always fun. They didnt win, but the team they played was very good, and his team gave them a run for their money.

This weekend is also Mother's Day weekend, so thank you to all those Mother's out there.

Hey guys.

Today after school we had our end of the season soccer meeting. We turned in our uniforms and our one bands. After all that was squared away we started to talk about what we need to be doing in the off season to prepare for next season. Coach suggested we join a club team if we are not already on one, and make sure that we get in the weightroom during the summer (I am already on a club team, so I have that taken care of, and I will already be in the weightroom for softball).

After the girls left my club coach wanted to talk to me about being a secondary player for another team made up of girls from my high school. I think it would be a good time and cannot wait to see if I am able to do this. Since my secondary team will be in the same club as my primary team and the two teams will practice together I think this is going to work out great and I am going to gain a lot of experience and skill in the upcoming season.

Hello.

Hey there I'm Amanda.

I'm a Junior and I play softball and soccer for my high school. I have been a member of the Varsity softball team for one year and the Varsity soccer team for two years. As a sophomore I was also one of the captains of the Junior Varsity team.

Last night was the semi-finals at soccer districts. My team has had a tough time this season but we pulled it together towards the end of the season. I am coming off a neck injury so I have been unable to play for the last three weeks, but I got the chance to play again last night. Like I said the game was fantastic and was tied at one a piece at the end of regulation. We went into overtime and at the end of overtime we were still tied at one, so we went into a shootout. I was selected to take a penalty kick, and shot third. Luckily I made my PK, but we were still tied which resulted in us going into sudden death.

We lost a heart breaker, but it didn't feel like we lost. We took the number one team in our class into a shootout. Although the season is over I look forward to next season, and will greatly miss the seniors on my team.
